pillows everywhere
except on the bed,
sheets embarrassingly
entangled, uneaten pizza
and champagne,
chocolate on
white Egyptian cotton...
oh is this me?
in a curtain,
and a smile,
and miles of ache,
and sighs to match?
the lillies still smell fresh
i sink into the big
yellow chair
and hug myself.
so it is true!
the ones you hold
in your eternal embrace
also turn blue?
