jacuzzi

once upon a time,
this would have been,
a david lynch scene:
pale white on white
and blue roses mourning.
should i add calming salts
i wonder, as i slide in.
thirteen months of being alone
has made me somewhat pale,
the knife offers a flash of reflection
but no second thoughts,
this must be the way
to quiet sighless waters.

This one sent a chill down my spine. Very good writing.

I did not like this one as much as not now, darling, but I loved the line "the knife offers a flash of reflection". If I may offer an opinion of any consequence, I would like to say that the word "sighless" in the last line weakens the poem a bit. Simply ending with "to quiet waters" gives the external calme a colder sheen. But that's just my somewhat humble opinion.
